GENERAL CLIENT QUESTIONS:
Q: Why should I hire an estate sale company?
A: There are a few main reasons an estate sale company is hired:
-You don’t have the time to manage the work of a sale. We get it, this is a time-consuming process. You have a life, we want you to enjoy it.
-You don’t have the emotional or physical energy to do this. Going through a lifetime of stuff is hard work. We’re here for you.
-You don’t know how to run an estate sale. Most people have never been through this process before and may never go through it again. We’ve done this many hundreds of times.
Q: Why should I hire Silversun Estate Sales?
A: We are experts in our field with almost 20 years in the business. We are professional and honest. We treat every client, home, and customer with respect and dignity.
Q: Does Silversun consign or buy items?
A: We very rarely consign or buy items. We are primarily an on-site liquidator, which means we perform sales at the designated client’s home. We do not have a storefront or sell items from one sale at another sale.

Q: Do you perform estate sales in my area?
A: Denver is our primary market. We also work regularly in Applewood, Southern Arvada, Aurora, Bow Mar, Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Edgewater, Englewood, Glendale, Greenwood Village, Golden, Lakeside, Lakewood, Littleton, Mountain View, Parker, Sheridan, and Wheat Ridge.
Q: Where are the items sold from?
A: The home or business as contracted. We do not manage storage units or take items from a home and sell them at another location. We are an on site estate liquidator.
Q: Does Silversun have a storefront or auction site?
A: We do not.
Q: I’m living in the home, is that ok?
A: All homes must be unoccupied prior to commencing work for liability reasons.
Q: I want to keep property that is at the home. Is that ok?
A: It depends. You are liable for any theft or damage to personal property that is left at the home. Are you comfortable with that? We strongly encourage clients to remove ALL personal property prior to sales.

Q: Do I have enough for an estate sale?
A: That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it? Let’s talk about it.
Q: I don’t have any antiques, is that a problem?
A: Honestly, the antique market in Denver is fairly soft.
Q: I have a lot of mid century modern furniture and items to sell
A: YESSS.
Q: Does Silversun know how to manage unusual items, firearms, cars, collectibles, rugs, jewelry……?
A: We sure do.
WHEN: SCHEDULING/TIMING
Q: How early should we call for a consult?
A: As soon as possible. We can talk through the process before you lift a finger. If you want to send us some photos to help us understand the scope of the project, that’s extra helpful. Our job is to save you time and stress. Frequently we are contacted after a client has taken multiple trips to donation and disposed of items that they did not know were valuable. If it can be donated, it can be sold. If you aren’t sure, just ask us. We’re happy to guide you.
We can save an incredible amount of time and stress for you if we walk through a house early in the process.
Q: The family needs to go through the house first and figure out who is taking what, but we can’t even see everything. This is going to take forever! Can you help us?
A: Yes, we actually love doing this. We can stage the house so the family can come through and see everything displayed in a respectful manner and distribute property as desired. Once the family is finished, we restage the remaining items for a sale.
Q: How far out are we booked?
A: Depending on the time of year, we may be booked out 2 weeks to 2 months or more.
HOW MUCH: FEES/COMMISSION
Q: Do you charge commission and/or fees?
A: Yes. Call us and we can walk you through the costs.
SALE
Q: Can clients come to the sale and watch us work?
A: No. It’s extremely distracting for us to manage a client and customers at the same time.
THEN WHAT? POST SALE/CLEAN OUT
Q: What happens after the sale is over?
A: That’s up to you. We can leave the home “AS IS” or we can remove all unsold items. We donate as much as possible, but there is typically a fair amount of trash to be disposed of. This may include chemicals, mattresses, upholstered furniture, and other items that were not sold. A dumpster is frequently needed.
Q: Does Silversun offer clean out services outside of sales?
A: No, we do not.
